THE Lymm and District Round Table is hoping for another great turn-out at this year’s bonfire night – with thousands more raised for charity in the process.
Over £4,000 was raised last year with around 1500 people attending the event held at Lymm Rugby Club on Crouchley Lane. This year’s event will once again be held at the Rugby Club on Saturday 6th November with doors opening at 6pm, bonfire lit at 6.30pm and firework display from 7pm.
“Last year’s bonfire event was a great success and we’re hoping for more of the same this year,” said Richard Storey, organiser and Round Table member. “Lots of worthy local causes benefited from the proceeds such as Cotebrook House, Warrington Speak Up, Camsley Grange Riding for the Disabled and disabled access for Lymm Rugby Club – and that’s all thanks to the people who came through the door.
“There’ll be loads going on again this year including a really impressive firework display, Chadwick’s children’s rides, plenty of food and drink on offer – including a hog roast and Moo Cow Coffee – and many other stalls run by the community including the Ladies Circle.
“We really hope the public will come out to support the event once again and ensure we raise even more money this year.”
Tickets will be on sale – complete with ‘Guy’ – by The Cross, Lymm, on the three weekends preceding bonfire night, and you can also pay on the door. Prices are £10 for family (up to two adults and two children), £5 for adults and £2 for children.
The Round Table are also seeking sponsors for the event – for more information contact Richard on 07929 357580.
The Lymm and District Round Table is one of the most buoyant in the country with a large and enthusiastic membership and regular social and charity events planned throughout the year.
